Yasir Sohail 博士于2025年加入西安交通大学材料科学与工程学院金属材料强度国家重点实验室。Yasir Sohail 博士长期致力于极端环境用合金的设计,在开发高强高韧合金方面取得了重大科学突破。他的开创性工作超越了一个世纪以来在高强度韧性合金领域的研究成果,并在博士期间以第一作者身份将成果发表于《自然》期刊。他成为中华人民共和国首位以第一作者身份在《自然》期刊上发表论文的国际学生,且该研究完全在同一个实验室和学院内独立完成,彰显了其卓越的学术能力和独立研究水平。此外,他还在《先进材料》期刊上发表了另一篇高影响力论文,进一步展示了他在合金强化及极端环境材料设计方面的学术引领能力。

迄今为止,Yasir Sohail 博士已发表SCI论文超过六篇,其中包括以第一或通讯作者身份发表于《自然》《先进材料》《材料科学进展》等权威期刊的四篇论文。他还获得两项中国发明专利授权,并荣获多项荣誉,包括国际教育学院“优秀国际学生”奖。他的论文已被引用超过280次,h指数为6。

Dr. Yasir Sohail joined the State Key Laboratory for Mechanical Behavior of Materials at the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Xi’an Jiaotong University, in 2025. Dr. Sohail has long been dedicated to the design of alloys for extreme environments, making a significant scientific breakthrough in developing strong yet ductile alloys. His pioneering work outperformed a century of research in high-strength, ductile alloys and was published in Nature during his doctoral studies. He became the first international student in the People’s Republic of China to publish as the first author in Nature, with research independently conducted within the same laboratory and school, highlighting his academic excellence and research independence. In addition, he has published another high-impact article in Advanced Materials, further demonstrating his scientific leadership in alloy strengthening and materials design for extreme environments.

To date, Dr. Sohail has published over six SCI papers, including four first- or corresponding-author publications in prestigious journals such as Nature and Advanced Materials, Progress in Materials Science. He also holds two authorized Chinese invention patents and has received several honors, including the “Outstanding International Student” Award from the School of International Education. His publications have garnered over 280 citations, with an h-index of 6.
